WEC Ghana

WEC has been working in Ghana since 1940, sharing the Good News and helping to establish the church, especially among the unreached peoples of the North. This passion for the lost continues to this day as WEC Ghana continues to work among the remaining unreached peoples.

Vision

to see vibrant, multiplying churches established and communities transformed by God’s power among the unreached peoples of northern Ghana.

Focus

WEC Ghana is seeking to share the love of Christ by using a holistic approach.

Currently the work is based in the three regional capitals of northern Ghana at Tamale in the Northern Region, Wa in the Upper West Region and Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

Activities

Church planting

WEC is working in partnership with the Evangelical Church of Ghana to plant churches in places where currently there are no churches and especially among the unreached peoples of Ghana.

Educational Projects

A particular felt need among the communities of northern Ghana is for good quality education that will give young people better opportunities for employment. Educational projects therefore are a key feature of WEC's holistic approach to mission in Ghana.

Guest House

WEC has a guest house in Accra, the capital city of Accra. The Accra Guest House offers self-catering accommodation to WEC members and other visitors travelling in and out of Ghana.

Prayer mobilisation

Prayer is vital to support WEC's work in Ghana. Prayer news is circulated monthly in the Ghana Prayer Update

Team members

The WEC Ghana team is made up of people from different national and cultural backgrounds. They have each responded to a call from God to work in Ghana and share the same vision of sharing the Good News with the unreached peoples of Ghana.
